Safety & ingredients

Your health comes first. Here you can read which substances I deliberately don't use, what to know if you're sensitive or allergic, how to use the glue safely and what to do if you get a reaction.

Without TPO and HEMA

I work with gel products without TPO and without HEMA. TPO has been banned in cosmetics in the EU since 1 September 2025, and HEMA may only be used by professionals in nail products. That's why I use neither in my nails.

Want to know exactly which products I use? Send me a message through the contact form and I'll tell you the ingredients.

Allergy or sensitive skin

Even without TPO and HEMA you can react allergically to nail products, for example to the glue or to other substances in gel. Have you had an allergic reaction to gel nails, acrylic nails or nail glue before? Then talk to your GP or dermatologist before you apply a set.

Do you have sensitive skin but have never had a reaction? Then apply just one nail first and see how your skin reacts.

Getting a reaction?

Itching, redness, a burning feeling, swelling, blisters or pain around your nails? Stop wearing them straight away and carefully remove the nails as described in the manual. Don't pull them off.

Not going away quickly, or getting worse? Contact your GP.

Is your face or are your lips swelling, or are you short of breath? Call 112 straight away.

I'm not a doctor. This is general information, not medical advice.

Using nail glue safely

  • Nail glue bonds within seconds, including to skin and eyelids.
  • Only use the glue to attach nails to your own nails.
  • Keep the glue out of reach of children and don't swallow it.
  • Don't use the glue on damaged or inflamed skin or nails, or if you have a nail infection or nail fungus.
  • Glue on your skin? Don't pull. Soak the spot in warm soapy water and rub gently. A nail remover can help too.
  • Glue in your eye, or eyelids stuck together? Don't force anything, rinse with lukewarm water and contact a doctor.
  • Close the cap properly after use and store the glue somewhere cool and dry.

This page doesn't replace the information on the bottle itself. Always read the manual that comes with your order too.
